What is EIC?

What is EIC?


EIC code is an identification number assigned to your electricity supply point. It can be found on the Contract on Connection you have made with Západoslovenská distribučná, a.s. and on the electricity balance invoice. You can find out your EIC code from your electricity supplier or distributor – ZSD.

Do I have to enter EIC code to search for failure/outage?


If you want to be sure that your supply point is within the location where the outage is planned or failure has been reported, please, enter your EIC code. By entering your EIC code you can search for information on the outage or failure specifically for your supply point.

Under Energy Act 251, Section 31(t), Západoslovenská distribučná, a.s. “has the obligation to inform consumers about the commencement of any planned restrictions or interruption of electricity and the duration of the restriction or interruption”. Under URSO Decree 236/2016, Section 31(i), Západoslovenská distribučná, a.s. has the right to inform about the shortening of the switch off duration or cancellation of the planned work.
Important: This search engine shows information about current failures in the distribution system of Západoslovenská distribučná, a.s. lasting more than 15 minutes. The order and duration of removal of individual failures depends on the extent and seriousness of technical damage of the distribution system.
